AERATION IN BIOFLOC :
Air pumps are useful for tank water aeration and filtration also Ideal for biofloc system . In addition to the requirement for aeration, mixing is also very important, as the floc particles must remain in suspension in the water column. Maintaining proper water flow velocity is essential for optimizing biofloc systems and keeping microorganisms suspended in the water column. An additional benefit of aeration and mixing is the removal of gases from the water column, which can have a great effect on overall water quality. We need 24hr oxygen suply in our biofloc tank.
Without Oxygen how far the Fish Will Survive?
- IMC(Indian Major Carp) will survive for 15-30 min max.
- Catfish Can survive for 6-12 hr.

FEEDS :
Biofloc Fish Feed Management :
In the traditional fish farming system, fish consumes very little amount of feed supplied to them in the water. The wasted feed degrades and then turns into toxic metabolites. Then, it pollutes the water and affects the surrounding environment with the stench it emanates from as well. The feed is an important part of fish farming. Every day a regular amount of feed is essential for the growth and development of the fish.
Wasted feed, as well as fish excreta, is converted into the feed which can be consumed by the fish in biofloc fish farming. The combination of microorganism, fungi, and algae, etc., forms a Biofloc which absorbs inorganic waste and then enhances water quality. Thus, the problem of water pollution is solved in this manner. Also, the fish farmers can save money on feed and it is readily available as well.

Water Preparation :
Now Feel All tanks with fresh water, Note water must be clean rather it hard to maintain into this culture. Due to low consumption of water you don’t have to worry about water on a daily basic. Once it full it will last to 6 month or one culture. Only you need 10-20 liter of water every 7-15 days per tank. This water will loss when you drain you water to remove Sluge Every 7-15 days.
What Product We need In Water Preparation:
1.Raw Salt (Non Iodized) Used For TDS management
2.Caco3 (For Ph Management in tank)
3.Molasses/ Liquid jaggery ( Used for Ammonia Management)
4.Probiotic (Used For bacteria Management)
After Getting required items, Feel all the Tanks 15000 ltr Water and start aeration and leave it for 24 hr with aeration. Then Test For TDS after 24hr.
After 24 hour We are going to move our Next step. TDS Management Our Required TDS parameter is 1000-1500 PPM. If you are getting Your tank TDS 300-500 ppm you can easily Add 1Kg Raw Salt and leave it for 3 hours. IF Your TDS is bellow 300 then you can add 500gm Raw salt every 3 hr gap and check TDS after every 3 hours circle. We have to maintain TDS 1000-1500.
After TDS management We are going to move our Next step PH Management. We Need Our TDS percentage between 7 – 8 Max. We are going to use CACO3 to manage our unbalanced TDS level. Generally Take 50 grams of CACO3 for 1000 liter of Water. IF your TDS is high it reduce your TDS and take you TDS level to normal percentage or if you TDS is too low it help to boost your TDS level and take to normal percentage. It Works in both side both Low and high TDS level.
Note: Don’t use Chuna in state of CACO3.
Now we quickly Next step of water preparation, We are going to use Probiotic and Molasses Together. We can take add 50 grams of Probiotic 50 grams and 100 grams of Molasses for 1000 liter of water. calculate as your tank capacity, For 10,000 liter tank we need 500 grams of Probiotic and 1 kg Molasses.
Put Molasses and probiotic into a Bucket and Mix well. Now your mix is Ready to add.
* We recommend to use this At night for Better Result. After 3 days add 1 kg Molasses And leave it for 1 day.
Note: Don’t Stop aeration From the day we start. When We start it will remain like this till the end of the culture. We need 20 Hour Oxygen Supply.
Electricity backup:
We Recommend you to use Electric backup before start. You can directly buy from Amazon.
FISH Sanitization And Stocking
There are two type of Fish one is Air Breather and second want Water Breather. For the Start up and beginners we recommend to start with Air Breather kind of fish. Now we need to Buy 14,000 (3500 x 4 tanks) (Estimate for Koi Fish Only)
Fish Seeds Sensitization :
Why we need to sanitize our Fish seeds ?
When we buy seeds it comes from a long distance 6-12 Hour of travelling. As you are seeing in the picture Koi fish are having sharp wings, While traveling it make tiny cut in their body And when you put them in the tank the very soon get into diseases soon. So we have to sanitize them Properly before putting them into tanks.
We are going to give you step by step Guide How to Sensitize Fish seeds with images.
Step – 1 :
When We receive our Fish seeds It’s temperature is different from the tank water. So We need to Put our Seeds Packs like this as Shown In the image bellow.
