Free apps of the week: Grab these paid apps that are free for a short time!

[ad_1]

It’s Friday and time for part 2 of our ‘Free apps of the week’ article. This article is updated twice a week to bring to you a list of paid iOS and Android apps that are right now available for free!

At the time of publishing this article, all the apps listed were available for free for Android and iOS. If you know of any apps that are currently free and worth mentioning, let me know in the comments.

Tip: If you find an interesting app in the list below, but don’t want to use the app or game right now, install the app anyway, then remove it from your device. That way, the service will be integrated into your library and you can install it for free in the future when you need it.

Free Android Apps

Free Android productivity apps for a limited time at the Play Store

  • Relaxing Sleep Sounds PRO ($0.99): If you sleep as badly as I often do, you will be grateful for any help that comes your way.  This app promises to gently lull you to sleep with relaxing sounds. Recent reviews show average enthusiasm – but hey, you can try it out for free, so why not?
  • Rec Audio Recorder PRO ($4.49): This is a versatile recording tool that records your voice in high quality, also allows background recording with the screen off, and lets you share the recordings too.
  • SnipBack – Dictaphone Smart PRO HD ($2,99): Another app for voice recordings and this one also sounds promising.
  • Vegetables Cards PRO ($1.69): If your kids want to learn English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese or Korean, this app might work better for them – at least when it comes to vegetable names.
  • ProCam X ($4.99): Do you sometimes look jealously at other smartphone owners because there are features that your default camera app doesn’t have? Then maybe take a look at the currently free ProCam X?

Android games temporarily free on Play Store

  • Age of History Afrika ($1,49): Is world domination is your thing along with turn-based strategy games? Well, this is one game you’d definitely like to try out!
  • Freelance Simulator ($ 0.99): Also included this time, this game which allows you to pursue a virtual career as a game developer.
  • Hills Legend ($0.99): A first-person action horror game with a tense and creepy atmosphere, a frightening plot, the outcome of which will be a mystery to the very end.

Free Apps and Mobile Games for iOS

Free iOS apps in the Apple App Store

  • Asketch: ($0.99): With support for Apple Pencil, Asketch allows you to draw easily on your tablet, with a gesture-controlled interface, several types of brushes and tools to undo actions.
  • Tomato To Do-Pomodoro ($8.99): A 5-star (hihi, a single rating) rated productivity and reminder app that’s currently available for free. Reminds you of the things you’ve been dying to get done via push notifications.
  • Luminair ($99.99): Luminair is a professional-grade lighting control platform that gives lighting designers, filmmakers and TV professionals, musicians, artists and other enthusiasts advanced control over DMX-enabled lights, as well as “Smart” lights via Apple HomeKit. Normally costs $100!
  • Colorscape – Color Your Photos (6.99): Colouring books seem to come back into fashion from time to time. With this app, you can turn your photos into illustrations to color, both on the iPhone/iPad screen and on paper.
  • Lumina AI Cam($4.99): A really recommendable and currently free camera app that lets you save pictures in RAW format.
  • 5 Minute Journal: Self-Care($4.99): Is five minutes a day enough to charge you with positive energy? This app claims it can, and since it’s free right now, you might want to give it a try.

Free iOS games in the Apple App Store

  • hyperPad Viewer($14.99): This is not a single game – but a collection of indie games, which is currently free.
  • Match Attack! ($1.99): A simple matchmaker game that wants to drive you crazy with many modes and a dedicated hardcore mode.
  • StoryToys Princess Rapunzel ($1.99): The story of Rapunzel is well known. Here you have the power to decide whether or not the lady will ever get out of the prison in the tower.
  • Fill me up – Block Brain Game! ($2.99): A rather simple puzzle game. Certainly not meant for raucous gaming nights, but while waiting for the bus maybe?
  • StoryToys Puss in Boots ($1.99): Can you manage another StoryToys classic? Then here you go: Have fun with Puss in Boots!
  • Veritas ($4.99): How did I get into this lab and what am I doing here? Just one of the many questions you will ask yourself when playing this game!

Well, that sums up our list of paid apps that are temporarily free this week! As always, do send us your app suggestions and let us know if we missed an important app in this list.

What other temporarily free apps would you recommend to the NextPit community?
